Pete Chouteau: Researcher & Writer
Pete Chouteau was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He jumped into community engagement early, serving as a youth representative on Cincinnati Parks’ Mount Echo Advisory Board. He attended Ohio University and graduated in 1995 with a degree from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
Pete has bottom-to-top experience in communications, management, logistics, and sales. He joined Ascend Advisors in March, 2023.
He works with the Ascend team as a researcher, writer, and editor. He has designed and prepared external communications as well as grant applications. He contributes to analysis and coaching for clients in areas that align with his career expertise.
Pete takes his greatest professional joy from telling the stories of Ascend clients. His talent lies in understanding and appreciating the mission and goals of a client, and crafting a narrative that engages and encourages action. He has a knack for knowing what does, and doesn’t, need to be said.
Pete and his family live in Westerville, Ohio. Outside his work at Ascend Advisors, Pete is the Committee Chair for Boy Scout Troop 192, Equipment Transport Specialist for the Westerville Central Marching Band and Winterguard, and works with Ohio University’s Volunteer Alumni Admissions Network.
